Heather in Farndale, North Yorkshire
I grew up in Sutton Coldfield near Birmingham. I went to Warwick University to study history and had the huge privilege of a term in USA and a term in Venice, but I am not sure I learned a lot of history. I worked in Sheffield in the Unemployment Benefit Office and then at Sheffield Hallam University before taking time out for a family. I did a bilingual secretarial course and worked in sales and marketing for engineering companies. I organised exhibitions in UK, France and Germany (also one in Singapore but did not get to go there, the MD went instead!) I lived in Spain for some years but have now returned to the UK.
I have written stories since I learned to read and write. I am a member of a writing circle where I am inspired to experiment and branch out, hence the verse. I am trying to finish the novels I started years ago and getting side-tracked by the new ones I am writing now.
“Bloomin’ Heather” is my first step on the road to getting serious about publishing.
